Where did you attend school?
Drexel University, 2017 graduate
What drove you to want to pursue a career in PT?
“ I was an athlete in high school and was always getting injured so I spent a lot of time at physical therapy. I would be a patient, but still find myself helping out with other patient’s treatments with the therapist. So basically, I didn't choose PT, PT chose me!”
What is the most rewarding aspect of your professional career?
“The most rewarding aspect of my career is seeing people feel better and be able to do things they weren't sure they would ever be able to do again. I like to be the person to teach them new ways to do what they want to do or move how they want to move.”
What is your favorite part about being a clinician?
“My favorite part about being a clinician is working with people and being their cheerleader to encourage them throughout their recovery. I love being a teacher and helping people learn more about how they move, how to exercise, and watch them improve and regain their independence as they work towards their goals.”
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Running, exercise, and traveling
Have any fun facts about yourself?
“I once roasted a marshmallow on lava rocks at the top of an active volcano in Guatemala after hiking to the top of it”
If you could make one change in today's healthcare world, what would it be?
“I would make people more knowledgeable about their bodies, how they move, and changes with aging. I would like to see people be more proactive with their health and wellness to keep themselves healthy and safe to prevent injuries before they even happen. I would like to see people seek out healthcare more often to maintain their health and wellness instead of waiting until after a fall or serious injury occurs to seek help.”
